St. Patrick’s Day: Irish Soda Bread and Corned Beef

During the week of St. Patrick’s Day (March 13-19), we will be carrying Irish soda bread all on our bread racks.  Irish soda bread is a delicious sweet-savory treat for St. Patrick’s Day! Much like a scone, this quick bread is moist yet flaky, dense and toasty, imparted by the baking soda, buttermilk, cream, eggs, raisins and caraway seeds. On Friday, March 17th, our lunch special will include our Chef’s corned beef sandwich and our Butcher Counter will be selling cooked corned beef by the pound ($23.99/lb) to-go for an Irish inspired lunch or supper.
