St. Patrick’s Day: Irish Soda Bread and Corned Beef

During the week of St. Patrick’s Day (March 13-19), we will be carrying Irish soda bread all on our bread racks. Irish soda bread is a delicious sweet-savory treat for St. Patrick’s Day! Much like a scone, this quick bread is moist yet flaky, dense and toasty, imparted by the baking soda, buttermilk, cream, eggs, raisins and caraway seeds. On Friday, March 17^th, our lunch special will include our Chef’s corned beef sandwich and our Butcher Counter will be selling cooked corned beef by the pound ($23.99/lb) to-go for an Irish inspired lunch or supper.
